A blend of Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat à Petits Grains and Orange Muscat from California, this wine was fermented slowly to achieve the perfect level of sweetness complemented by a refreshing acidity.

Skinny Vine wines are made by Assistant Winemaker Dawn Wells, who has a passion for making and enjoying wines, while staying fit. “From the moment I learned that a career in winemaking was a possibility, I was interested” says Dawn, an avid home cook who is always trying to work more vegetables into her meals. She recently completed her first half marathon and is now in the process of training for a full marathon which she plans to complete in 2013. Dawn has been with Treasury Wine Estates since 2006 and is excited to have created a line of wines that deliver rich, ripe flavors while offering wine drinkers a way to consume fewer calories. “I love the mix of science and art that makes winemaking slightly unpredictable and a great deal of fun – and I’m happy to be crafting wines that people enjoy and share with others.” Also an animal lover and known around the winery for her propensity to rescue creatures in need, Dawn lives in Clearlake with her cat Chewie. She is interested in travelling abroad and looks forward to exploring the many wine regions outside of California in the years ahead.
